Team CT rides early comeback to victory

Team VT watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 8-4 loss to Team CT on Tuesday. Team CT scored on a walk, a single by Paul Calandrelli, a stolen base, and a single by Aidan Doyle in the first inning.

Team CT took an early lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Boone Fahey scored one run for Team CT.

Team VT scored four runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Landon Kingsbury and a double.

Johnny Reh earned the win for Team CT. He threw two and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs, three hits, and striking out three. Three relievers helped Team CT close out the victory. Paul Calandrelli threw two innings. Chase Geremia recorded the last out to earn the save for Team CT. Fahey took the loss for Team VT. He pitched, giving up five runs, four hits, and walking one.

Team VT had seven hits in the game. L. Kingsbury, Kason Blood, and Vincent Petrone each collected multiple hits for Team VT.

Team CT collected 11 hits. Calandrelli, Doyle, Geremia, and Christian Kells each collected multiple hits for Team CT. Calandrelli led Team CT with four hits in four at bats. Team CT was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. William Patla made the most plays with seven.
