Team PA Grabs Lead in Fourth Inning for Victory Over Team DE

Team PA defeated Team DE 8-4 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with Team PA batting in the bottom of the fourth when Hassan Turner walked Brandon Charleston to drive in a run.
Team PA earned the victory despite allowing Team DE to score four runs in the second inning. Team DE’s big inning was driven by a walk by Turner, a single by Nick DiTomasso, and a wild pitch.

Team PA knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the third inning. Brandt Johnson grounded out, scoring one run.

Team PA took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Turner walked Charleston to drive in a run, Johnson singled off of Turner, driving in two runs, and Bryson Neri singled off of Turner, driving in one run.

Drew Barshinger earned the win for Team PA. He pitched two and two-thirds innings, giving up zero runs, three hits, striking out five, and walking zero. Bradley Marks took the loss for Team DE. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Conner Rippo started the game for Team PA. He went one and one-third innings, giving up three runs, one hit, and striking out one.

Johnson and Charleston each drove in three runs to lead Team PA. Team PA didn’t commit a single error in the field. Neri had the most chances in the field with eight.

DiTomasso led Team DE with two hits in four at bats.
