Team ME Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Team RI

Team ME took the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over Team RI on Monday. The game was tied at one with Team ME batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jack Joyce singled off of Alexander Anderson, driving in two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. hurlers for Team ME struck out seven, while Team RI pitchers sat down two.

In the top of the fourth inning, Team RI tied things up at one.

Robbie Hanscom earned the win for Team ME. He went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and walking zero. Joyce recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Team ME. Anderson took the loss for Team RI. He tossed four and two-thirds innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, and striking out two.

Ryan Cummins started the game for Team ME. He threw three innings, allowing zero runs, two hits, and striking out four.

JJ Jacobsohn, Brody Gullison, Joyce, and Alex Taylor all had one hit to lead Team ME.

Miles Fontaine went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Team RI in hits.
